Bajaj has always been an undisputed leader in the two-wheeler market thanks to the very popular Pulsar series. Since the time when Pulsar was first launched in the country, it has been able to make a very big name for itself in the Indian market and the hearts of the people. With new Pulsar models releasing every year, the love and affection for the brand new seemed to stop.
The latest new entry to the Pulsar series is the 150cc Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS. Let’s check out few important things about the 150 NS that you need to know:
Pulsar 150 NS didn’t have the first launch in India
Although Bajaj has been able to create a very loyal customer base in India for the Pulsar bike series, it comes as a big surprise that Bajaj decided against launching the 150 NS first in the country. Instead, Columbia was the first ever market to see this bike. The Bajaj Pulsar 150 Price was capped at 6,490,000 Columbian Pesos (Around Rs 1.42 lakh). The bike was manufactured in India and exported to Columbia and other parts of the world.
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS comes equipped with a very powerful 149.5 cc, single cylinder engine. The engine also includes four valves and twin spark as used in the earlier Pulsar AS150. The engine is able to provide the bike with a maximum power of 17 BHP and is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox for easy and efficient gear change.
Digital Instrument Console
One of the best features in the new Pulsar 150 NS is the presence of a fully digitalized instrument console which includes an odometer, speedometer, fuel gauge and a trip meter. However, the tachometer on the console is still analogue based.
Dimensions and Weight
The Pulsar 150 NS measures a lengthy 2070 mm horizontally and has a width of 800 mm. The bike also measures 1205 mm in height, which means, that it is a slightly higher than most other 150cc bikes in the segment. The total weight of the 150 NS is about 140 kg due to a big fuel tank with a 12-litre capacity. The bike has a larger wheelbase at 1363 mm and has a ground clearance height of 175 mm.
Brakes and Suspension
The Pulsar 150 NS is equipped with a 240 mm disc brake on the front side and is also backed by a 130 mm drum braking system at the rear end. The suspensions for the bike are provided by a telescopic fork suspension on the front side and a mono-shock absorber on the rear end.
The front side is also fitted with an 80/100-R17 tubeless tyre while the rear end of the bike is equipped with a 100/90-R17 tubeless tyre. The difference in the tyre width has been well maintained to reduce the effort by engine against friction and allows the bike to maintain a balance among performance and safety.
Price in India
Although the bike is not officially released in the country yet, it is believed that the Bajaj Pulsar 150 Price will be around 78,000 INR.
The Last Words
The Bajaj Pulsar bike series has created a massive fan following over the years and the new Pulsar 150 NS would not be any different. The 150cc bike takes most of its features from the Pulsar AS150 and the bigger 200cc version as well. The bike is worth the Bajaj Pulsar 150 Price at which it would be sold due to the number of features it provides.
